Joyce E. Smith

Joyce E. Smith, MA, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working in private practice in Hollywood, California. In addition to her Havening Techniques certification, she is certified in EMDR and TRM (Trauma Resiliency Model - a somatically based therapy), and trained in Expressive Arts Therapy, Sandplay Therapy and Child Centered Therapy. Having previously suffered from C-PTSD (Civilian Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) Joyce E. Smith, MA, LMFT understands these issues from the inside out. After decades of traditional talk therapy with not much success, she was finally able to alleviate her PTSD through these neuo-biologically based therapies. She is a firm believer in their healing properties and loves seeing others regain a sense of wholeness and become empowered again. Of all these modalities she has found Havening Techniques hands down to be the fastest, most gentle and effective. In addition, as a musician and former piano teacher, Joyce E.
